CNC LATHE CHECKLIST

In order to ensure the used CNC lathe arrives at destination in optimum condition. The following checklist is provided for proper preparation:

  • Clean the machine of chips, coolant, and wipe down inside the bed area, and the machine exterior.
  • Put cosmoline, linebacker, lithium oil grease or equivalent protection on all machine surfaces (exposed ways, chuck, tailstock, etc.)
  • Block the turret down with original shipping bracket(s). If shipping brackets are not available, please block with 4x4 block of wood wedged between turret and tailstock, along with a rope.
  • Wrap the CNC control unit in layers of bubble wrap so CRT/Control panel is protected.
  • Box/crate all tooling, manuals, accessories, schematics, leveling pads, and any other loose items where they will not move. Either place on a skid or let trucker strap on truck. Be sure to list exact number of boxes on the bill of lading.
  • If chip conveyor is with machine; remove from machine, clean and wrap control box in bubble wrap, and cable wires securely to unit.
  • Drain ALL Coolant

  • Please take photos of machine prepped and also when loaded on truck and tarped and email to sales@primemach.com

CNC VERTICAL & HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER CHECKLIST

In order to ensure the used CNC machining center arrives at destination in optimum condition. The following checklist is provided for proper preparation:

  • Clean the machine of chips, coolant, and wipe down inside the work area, and the machine exterior.
  • Put cosmoline, linebacker, lithium oil grease or equivalent protection on all machine surfaces (table, exposed ways, spindle nose, etc.)
  • Block the spindle head down on the table and lock all other axis with original shipping bracket(s). If shipping brackets are not available, please block and lock-down with 4x4 block of wood, to ensure there is no movement during time of transport.
    (note: do not put the spindle nose on the block of wood)
  • Wrap the CNC control unit in layers of bubble wrap so CRT/Control panel is protected, and tie down the control pendent arm (if applicable) so it cannot move or sway.
  • Box/crate all tooling, manuals, accessories, schematics, leveling pads, and any other loose items and securely place machine where they will not move. Either place on a skid or let trucker strap on truck. Be sure to list exact number of boxes on trucks bill of lading.
  • If chip conveyor is with machine, remove from machine, clean and wrap control box in bubble wrap, and lash wires securely to unit.

  • Drain ALL coolant, way oil machine and tank

  • Please take photos of machine prepped and also when loaded on truck and tarped and email to sales@primemach.com
